My only complaint is that it beeps every so many minutes when attached to the iphone. I love this item.
Easily put into and taken out of Mophie case, but remains secure. Has a green-red switch at bottom end for use-nonuse of Mophie battery. Does link with iPod and vehicle recharge unit. Travels well in center console of vehicle. Good LED indicator(s) for battery status. I examined all the permutations & combinations offered in the Apple Store.
Recharges through a USB cable to my computer or an AC outlet. Cost is less at Apple Store compared to Amazon (both purchase price and no shipping charge). Mophie was what I had in mind. Even though case blocks speaker, still produces good sound quality. A quality product.Lacks external "soft" case for carrying on belt or shoulder strap. Great product, provides ease of mind, does not bulk up or increase mass of the iPhone.
Good solid feel, access to external buttons, including camera.
The nice elegant night stand from apple doesn't work either because it is to fat. I think we will go back to BB for the contant usage for our business. We had the USB connected device.
Charging took too long to get a full charge. iphone is basically a toy for those who have time to play. We had to turn off all the neat features of the iphone to make it last like a blackberry does.
We bought two for our new iphones for the company. We returned them for a refund at the apple store. This charger is a good prototype but has a long way to go.
We tried them out and found that the syncing was so odd we had to take it out of the case to sync up to itunes or anything else. It is a monster to have in your pocket it doesn't last all day with constant usage.
*** BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK.***One more issue -- an aesthetic one: The device is coated with an attractive, pleasant-to-the-touch matte finish to enhance grip. You will end up wanting to throw this thing against the wall -- but the adhesive will probably keep it stuck to your hand. But the SAME THING HAPPENED with my second Juice Pack (within the same two-week time frame). But very quickly, it starts to chip/scrape off, exposing the Juice Pack's black shiny sub-surface. How irritating is it that a device DESIGNED to be held PUNISHES YOU FOR HOLDING IT. The device has just two functions: to charge your battery and serve as a protective case.
I complained to Mophie and they replaced my Juice Pack with a new one. So like the crazy person who secures his eyeglass frames with Scotch tape, I have had to wrap the Juice Pack in transparent packing tape to keep the side strips on. Sadly, it fails miserably on the latter count because its two glued-on rubber side strips -- intended to enhance grip -- very quickly slip off, exposing your hand to extremely sticky adhesive. Honestly, it's maddening. Not a big deal, but the effect is that the Juice Pack looks worn and ragged much sooner than it should. Worse, they cannot be re-affixed.
By the way, if you research this problem on the net, you will find other accounts of the problem.
E-mails to mophie have gone unanswered. Again no obvious defects. I returned my first unit and the quick replacement from Amazon has the same problem.
I ordered this here hoping to use it on a trip. The problem is it continuously disconnects from my phone then reconnects so that it chirps over and over again (it was fully charged first and this is without the charger plugged in -just normal use). I have a 1G iPhone with 2.2.1 software.
I tried everything and have been patient. I guess its time to try to get them on the phone. The thing looks fine and feels sturdy.
I could see no obvious flaws.
